422 activists of BNP were killed in the student-public movement

Dhaka //

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that 422 BNP leaders and activists were killed in the student-public movement. He gave this information at a press conference at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office on Sunday afternoon.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul said, what we need most now is that they can work with the responsibility given to the interim government with patience and tolerance. Let them all work. They have given their hand in the quick renovation work. We think these things need to be done.

These tasks should be quickly completed and lead to an election, which will be under an impartial government and the people will vote in free and fair elections to elect their representatives. After that they will complete the rest of the work. What we need here is unity, patience, and support for all the work of this government.
In response to a question, he said, “We have made it clear that the reforms that are centered on elections, that is, election commission, administration, law and order forces should be reformed first.” For example, the Awami League government has prosecuted many of us and punished many of them. We will not be able to hold elections for two years due to punishment. It needs to be reformed.

And the other reforms that are there will be done by the government elected by the people. Of course, we have already given the 31-point reform proposal made by BNP and like-minded parties to repair the state.
Mirza Fakhrul said, we know that the administration has not been free from fascism so far. The main reason for not being free of fascism is that fascism has gone so deep that it is difficult to find anti-fascist people from there.
Commenting that the ongoing unrest in the industrial areas of the country is an indication of the allies of fascism, Fakhrul said that the unrest created in the industrial areas clearly indicates the allies of fascism. It is clearly understood. These things seem to suggest that a conspiracy is afoot.
Mirza Fakhrul said, what is happening on the social media is that the ‘audio-todios of the alleged fascist Sheikh Hasina’ are leaked from across the border, which contain misleading news.
On the other hand, they are trying to spread the word that religious minorities are being persecuted in Bangladesh, which is completely futile. It is not only us, even the journalists who came from India have seen, they have reported what is being said, which is not correct. What has happened is that some political problem has been created, which always happens, maybe.

So the plot is there. But we don’t like plot either.
Highlighting the role, contribution and expectations of BNP in the march of democratic Bangladesh on the occasion of International Democracy Day on September 15, Mirza Fakhrul said that among the 875 people killed in the student-public movement, at least 422 of BNP were killed.

Every time the country’s independence has been swallowed up by dictatorship, BNP has restored democracy every time. After 16 years of dictatorial misrule was crushed, the people of Bangladesh tasted freedom again on August 5, and the path to democracy was paved. There are countless individuals and families whose sacrifices over the years have given us a fascism-free Bangladesh.

Mirza Fakhrul said, according to various reports, 875 people were killed in the July-August massacre until August 13, of which at least 422 people were involved in BNP politics. This large proportion of people of all classes-profession-politics who have been killed across the country by BNP leaders is not an isolated incident, but an inevitable result of our long political struggle.

Garment workers or rickshaw pullers, students of public or private universities, political or non-political persons of all views and paths following left or right ideologies, regardless of the identity of the casualty, every life has the same value and dignity of blood.
The BNP Secretary General said that fascism fell in the mass uprising of the students, with the strong role of all pro-democracy forces, embodying the long-standing unity developed with the contribution of the political leadership. This victory of the people of the country is not only a matter of regaining the ownership of the country, but it is a promise of the country’s democratic journey, which has been achieved at the cost of infinite sacrifices.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the national consensus we saw for Sheikh Hasina’s resignation did not develop suddenly. It is basically the expression of people’s accumulated anger against the Awami League government’s tyranny-injustice, corruption-misrule, deprivation-ignorance and exploitation-torture. As the main political party of the country, the leaders and workers of BNP and all its organs and allied organizations came down to the streets with all their strength during the mass uprising, reflecting the aspirations of the people. All the political parties like BNP and pro-democracy forces came down in the ranks of the people.
Mirza Fakhrul said, Hasina has been removed, now there is an interim government, that government will soon go to the elections through a reform with the opinion of all of us. The election will be free and fair, the power will be transferred to the people. Let me be frank, many a times it is seen that very responsible political party leaders say things which are not conducive to overall unity. This is a problem.
