Former OC of Jatrabari police station Abul Hasan has been arrested by the police in the case of killing of college student Imam Hasan Taim during the students’ agitation demanding quota reforms in government jobs.

On Monday (September 16), the law and order force arrested him from Teknaf police station area of ​​Cox’s Bazar. After the arrest, Abul Hasan is being brought to Dhaka from Teknaf.

Cox’s Bazar District Police Additional Superintendent of Police Jaseem Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.

It is known that during the anti-discrimination student movement, Deputy Inspector (SI) of Rajarbagh Police Lines. Former OC of Jatrabari police station Abul Hasan was charged in the case of shooting death of Imam Hasan Taim, son of Moynal Hossain Bhuiya.

Deceased Taim Narayanganj Government Adamji Nagar M. W was a second year college student.

Taim was shot dead by the police during the anti-discrimination student movement on August 20. His mother deleted the incident. Parveen Akhter filed a suit as plaintiff. Wari Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Mohammad Iqbal Hossain and five persons were accused in the case.

Other accused in the case include ADC Shakeel Mohammad Shamim, AC Tanzil Ahmed, OC (Investigation) Zakir Hossain.
