Two separate cases have been filed for the murder of Jhenaidah’s Kaliganj Municipal branch camp president Abujar Giffari and camp worker Shamim Hossain.

Amli (Judicial Magistrate) Kaliganj court filed two separate complaints on Wednesday afternoon, naming 11 persons, Nur Islam, father of Abuja Gifari, and Ruhul Amin, father of Shamim Hossain, 12 as plaintiffs. Judge (Judicial Magistrate Kaliganj Court) Romana Afroz has ordered the OC of Kaliganj police station to accept the statement.

The accused in the two cases are- Former Superintendent of Police of Jhenaidah Altaf Hossain, Former Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station Anwar Hossain, Ex-SI (current Inspector) Nirab Hossain, Ex-SI Ashraful Alam, Ex-Additional Superintendent of Police (current Superintendent of Police) Azbahar Ali Sheikh, Ex-SI Nasir. Hossain, former SI Gaffer, former SI Imran Hossain, former mayor Ashraful Alam, Mostafizur Rahman Biju, former upazila chairman Shibli Nomani, former MP’s private secretary Abdur Rauf, UP chairman Abul Kalam Azad, Ali Hossain Apu, Mahidul Islam of Montu and Chapali villages. the rabbi

Abujar Giffari’s father Noor Islam mentioned in the complaint that on March 18, 2016, on his way home from Chapali Laskarpara of Kaliganj upazila, 4 men in white clothes forcibly kidnapped him on two motorcycles. When Giffari’s mother ran, she was pushed away and forcibly taken away by the men in white. On April 13, 2016, his bullet-riddled body was found in Laukhali village of Jessore Sadar.

Ruhul Amin, the father of Shamim Hossain, mentioned in the complaint that on March 24, 2016, around 5 pm, 4 people in white clothes on two motorcycles took his son away from the east gate of Mahtab Uddin College in Kaliganj city. On April 13, 2016, his bullet-riddled body was found in Laukhali village of Jessore Sadar.
