Nazrul Islam Khan, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, said that except for a few people of the country, people from all sections of the society suffered discrimination during Sheikh Hasina’s government. Writers and journalists could not write their articles, there was no freedom of speech. People have been discriminated against in every field. Because of this, everyone in the society is participating under the banner of anti-discrimination movement.
He said that the success of the long-term movement has come through the July-August struggle, and everyone should work to implement the reasons for which the students are agitating.
He made this comment in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting at DRU in the capital on Wednesday.
Nazrul Islam raised the question why all the reforms should be done by the interim government and said that the government should be run according to the will of the people.
Nazrul Islam Khan said that the reforms of the elected government should be presented to the people before the elections, so that the people can elect qualified representatives through voting.
