The interim government’s first National Economic Council Executive Committee (ECNEC) meeting approved four projects.
A meeting was held at the Chief Adviser’s office at 11:30 on Wednesday (September 18). The meeting was chaired by the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus.
At the end of the meeting at 3 pm in the NEC conference room of Sherebangla Nagar, the planning advisor gave details in the press conference. Wahiduddin Mahmud.
He said that the total cost of implementation of the projects has been estimated at 1 thousand 222 crore 14 lakh taka. Out of this, 963 crore 82 lakh rupees will be available from government funds, 100 crore 16 lakh rupees will be available from project loans and 158 crore 16 lakh rupees will be available from the organization’s own funds. The projects include two revised and two new projects.
The four projects approved by Ekne are the Bakhrabad-Meghnaghat-Haripur Gas Transmission Pipeline Project (1st Revised) of the Department of Industries and Energy, two appraisal and development wells (Sundalpur-4 and Srikail-5), two exploration wells (Sundarpur South-1 and Jamalpur -1) Mining Project, Women Empowerment Project of Socio-Economic Infrastructure Department (2nd Phase) (2nd Revised) Project called ‘Tathya Apa’ and Sustainable Social Services Project (2nd Phase) Project of Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Institutions Department in Chittagong Hill Tracts.
