BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that despite the fall of the Awami fascist government, the allies of the defeated forces are still engaged in creating anarchy in the country. He made this complaint in a statement on Friday (September 20).
Mirza Fakhrul expressed deep concern over the incidents of violence, casualties and vandalism of shops and houses along with arson in Khagrachari and Rangamati. He said that despite the fall of the Awami fascist government in the students’ movement, the allies of the defeated forces are still in the process of creating anarchy in the country. They are involved in deep conspiracy. The conspirators are unable to accept the historic victory of the students and have resorted to killings and vandalism across the country to destabilize the current interim government.
He said that even though the people have been freed from the terrible misrule of the Awami fascist ruling group, the country is still not completely safe. Miscreants are desperate to destabilize the country. And for this reason, people are being attacked and seriously injured in demonic manners. The incidents of casualties by miscreants in Khagrachari and Rangamati are a brutal manifestation of that.
These terrorists have to be suppressed with a strong hand, there is no alternative. Everyone, regardless of party affiliation, needs to be vigilant so that the conspirators do not reap the benefits by following the attack and bloodshed. And only then, real democracy, good governance and safety of people’s lives will be ensured in the country.
The BNP Secretary General called for the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the miscreants who attacked people in Khagrachari and Rangamati and sought forgiveness for the departed souls of the deceased and condoled with their family members and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
