4 DIGs and 6 Superintendents of Police of Bangladesh Police have been reshuffled. Among these, the government has appointed a new Commissioner in Barisal Metropolitan Police, new DIG in Rangpur range, new Superintendents of Police in Thakurgaon, Kurigram and Noakhali districts. The transfer was announced on Sunday (September 22) from the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The 4 DIGs who have been transferred are – Aminul Islam, who has been promoted to the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police and Supernumerary DIG of DMP, has been promoted to the post of Rangpur Range DIG, Special Branch (SB) Police Superintendent and Supernumerary DIG, SN Md. Nazrul Islam in Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Noakhali Police Training Center Commandant (DIG) SM Rokon Uddin in Police Staff College and Deputy Inspector General of Police Criminal Investigation Department. Shafiqul Islam has been transferred as Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner.

The new Superintendent of Police in the three transferred districts is – Commandant (Superintendent of Police) of Nilphamari Inservice Training Center. Abdullah Al Farooq in Noakhali District, Special Branch Police Superintendent Sheikh Zahidul Islam in Thakurgaon District and Md. Mahfuzur Rahman has been transferred to Kurigram district.
