The government has sent six officials on compulsory retirement, including Chief Additional IGP Devdas Bhattacharya, Railway Police of Bangladesh Police.
Six officials have been sent on compulsory retirement in a separate notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday. Senior Secretary Dr. The matter was informed in the notification signed by Mohammad Abdul Momen.
The six officers are – Chief Additional IGP of Railway Police Devdas Bhattacharya, Deputy Inspector General of Police Industrial Area (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Additional IGP) AKM Hafiz Akhter, Deputy Inspector General of Police Dhaka Police Telecom (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Additional IGP) Bashir Ahmad, Superintendent of Police RRF (ordered to be attached to Police Headquarters) ) Md. Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Superintendent of Police of APBN. Rafiqul Islam and DMP Assistant Superintendent of Police. Dadan Fakir.
The notification states that the retirement from public service is in public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). The notification also mentions that they will be entitled to retirement benefits as per rules.
Earlier, on August 13, the former head of the Special Branch (SB) of the police, Additional IGP Md. Monirul Islam and recently former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman were sent on compulsory retirement.
