Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Journalist Ruhul Amin Ghazi has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital on Tuesday night. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, colleagues and numerous well-wishers.

According to family sources, Ruhul Amin Gazi was suffering from kidney complications. During the fascist Awami government period, he developed various physical complications during his imprisonment.

He is scheduled to be buried at the Shahjahanpur graveyard after the funeral at the Johar National Press Club on Wednesday.

Shahidul Islam and General Secretary Khurshid Alam, Dhaka Reporters Unity President Syed Shukur Ali and General Secretary Mohi Uddin have expressed deep grief. Mahbub Morshed, managing director and editor-in-chief of the organization, expressed deep grief and sorrow on behalf of Bassus family.
