Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Journalist Ruhul Amin Ghazi has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital on Tuesday night. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, colleagues and numerous well-wishers.
President of Dhaka Journalist Union (DUJ). Shahidul Islam told Bass that Ruhul Amin was in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Gazi Hospital since Monday.
According to family sources, Ruhul Amin Gazi was suffering from kidney complications. During the fascist Awami government period, he developed various physical complications during his imprisonment.
He is scheduled to be buried at the Shahjahanpur graveyard after the funeral at the Johar National Press Club on Wednesday.
President of National Press Club Hasan Hafiz and General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan, Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Quader Gani Chowdhury, President of DUJ said on the death of Ruhul Amin Ghazi. Shahidul Islam and General Secretary Khurshid Alam, Dhaka Reporters Unity President Syed Shukur Ali and General Secretary Mohi Uddin have expressed deep grief. Mahbub Morshed, managing director and editor-in-chief of the organization, expressed deep grief and sorrow on behalf of Bassus family.
