South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Park Yong-sik met Adilur Rahman Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Industry, in his office on Wednesday (September 25).

At this time, the industrial adviser said that South Korea is one of the most important development partners of Bangladesh. A bilateral trade agreement was signed between Bangladesh and South Korea on 21 June 1999. As a result trade investment between the two countries is protected.

The ambassador of Korea said that the country is interested in improving the bilateral industrial relations between Bangladesh and South Korea in the coming days. There is a need to improve the existing investment environment in Bangladesh for investment. At that time, he requested to provide visas to Korean investors on easy terms, including reducing VAT-tax on industrial raw materials.

Zakia Sultana, senior secretary of the Ministry of Industry, urged the South Korean ambassador to invest in Bangladesh’s environment-rich ship recycling industry, leather industry, handicrafts and handicrafts. He sought South Korea’s cooperation in developing industrial entrepreneurs.
