Mother and daughter died due to electrocution in Pabna. Mother Arjina Khatun (45) and daughter Arsha Khatun (13) died in the incident at Kacharpur Purbpara village of Atikula Union of Pabna Sadar Upazila around 4:30 pm on Wednesday (September 25).

The dead said that village. Wife and daughter of Nawab Uddin Khan. Orsha Khatun was a class 8 student of Kacharpur Dakhil Madrasa. His mother Arsha Khatun was a housewife.

According to local sources, the girl Orsha Khatun was taking a bath in the rain water under the tin roof of the house around 4 pm today. He got electrocuted by hitting the iron door while going up to the cowshed after bathing. The entire cattle shed was electrified by cutting the electric wire. At that time, when mother Arjina Khatun came forward to save her daughter, she and her daughter were also electrocuted and died.

The deceased’s husband Nawab Uddin Khan said in a tearful voice, “I was teaching my daughter in a madrasa with many dreams.” My daughter was very talented. But today all my dreams were shattered. I have lost the language to speak. I was devastated when my wife left with my daughter. May Allah make both of them dwellers in paradise.

Ataikula Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibul Islam said, “The girl was electrocuted while going up to the cowshed after taking a shower in the rain. Later, while trying to rescue him, Mao was electrocuted. Mother and daughter died on the spot. We have come to the spot.’
