The chief adviser of the interim government has asked for the participation of American businessmen in the new journey of Bangladesh. Muhammad Yunus. He said that they are determined to improve the business environment in Bangladesh through multifaceted reforms taken by his government.

At this time Dr. Yunus said, Bangladesh is not only a market of 170 million people. It is fast becoming one of the top 10 consumer markets in the world. Apart from this, Bangladesh is strategically positioned to capture the market of 3 billion people in South and Southeast Asia and China.

The Chief Adviser, who is visiting New York to attend the UN General Assembly session, said, “No country is free from problems.” Bangladesh is also not free of problems. But I see a developing Bangladesh, a country committed to freedom and justice.’

Dr. Yunus told the business leaders of the United States, “The United States has been an important economic and development partner for Bangladesh for a long time. As a single country, the US is our main export country and our top source of FDI (Foreign Direct Investment). But trade is unusually low.’

Dr. According to Yunus, most US investments in Bangladesh are in risk-free or low-risk sectors such as energy. He said, “As the United States seeks to diversify its supply chain under the Indo-Pacific policy, Bangladesh is strategically positioned to be an important partner in achieving this goal.”

Professor Yunus also said that he will do everything to support the development of businesses in Bangladesh as well as businesses in the United States, so that they can diversify their supply chain.
