6 police officers have been promoted to the post of Additional IGP (Grade-II) from DIG.

They were promoted in a notification signed by Abu Saeed, Deputy Secretary of the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday by order of the President.

Those who have been promoted are Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Staff College (promoted to the post of DIG) Md. Matiur Rahman Sheikh, Deputy Inspector General of Police Headquarters. Alamgir Alam, SB Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police (promoted to the post of DIG) Sardar Tamji Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Inspector General of Police Md. Delwar Hossain Mia, Additional Inspector General of Police, Md. Deputy Inspector General of Police Shah Alam and Sarada Police Academy. Abdullah Al Mahmud.
