Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel will not last long.
Khamenei said this in his Friday sermon at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla Mosque in Tehran, the capital of Iran. He delivered the first Friday sermon in almost five years.
Khamenei highlighted the rationale behind Iran’s recent missile attack on Israel. He said, this attack is legal, this attack is legal.
Iran’s supreme leader said, “The operation of our armed forces (in Israel) a few nights ago was completely legal and legitimate.”
Khamenei said the missile attack is the minimum punishment for Israel’s crimes.
Gaza-based Palestinian independence armed organization Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 last year. Khamenei called this attack by Hamas as logical and legal.
The supreme leader of Iran said that Israel cannot do serious damage to Hezbollah and Hamas.
Khamenei commented that the fight against Hezbollah, a pro-Shiite political party and armed organization in Lebanon, is an important service for the entire region. He said, even if Israel kills the leaders of resistance organizations, these allies of Iran will not retreat.
The supreme leader of Iran said, “The resistance of this region will not retreat because of this martyrdom.” And will win.’
“Our Enemy Is One”
Khamenei commented in the sermon that Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Yemen are “one enemy”. Al-Jazeera reported this information.
Iran’s supreme leader said, “The policy adopted by our enemies is to sow the seeds of discord and rebellion (against the government). Creating division among all Muslims. They are also enemies (same enemy) of Palestinians, Lebanese, Egyptians and Iraqis. They are also enemies of the people of Yemen and Syria.
Khamenei considers the fear of regional war to be real. So he called upon the Muslims to unite. He said, Muslim countries should prepare defense against their universal enemy.
Khamenei last led Friday prayers in January 2020. Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, was killed in a US airstrike in Baghdad, Iraq on January 3, 2020. In retaliation, Iran launched a missile attack on US bases in Iraq. After this incident, Khamenei led Friday prayers.
