The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government officially inaugurated the Senasadar Election Board-2024. Muhammad Yunus. On Sunday (October 6) he was present as the chief guest at the army headquarters and officially inaugurated the ‘Senasdar Electoral Board-2024’. In this promotion board of the first phase, the eligible officers of the rank of colonel and lieutenant colonel of Bangladesh Army will be considered for further promotion.

In the valuable speech of the promotion board, the chief adviser welcomed everyone to the new Bangladesh, soaked in the revolution of the students. He remembered with deep respect all those who died in the anti-discrimination student movement in July-August. He also remembered all the brave soldiers of the armed forces and army martyrs who participated in the great war of independence whose sacrifice the nation will always remember with respect.

The Chief Adviser directs the members of the Selection Board to emphasize professional competence, leadership qualities, standards of discipline, integrity, trustworthiness and loyalty and above all suitability for the job of the officers for promotion.

He also commented that officers with honesty, integrity and other leadership qualities deserve higher promotion. It also directs the selection for promotion of those officers who have succeeded in providing competent leadership in various activities of military life, regardless of political ideology.

He said that Bangladesh Army stood by the people of the country at the time of crisis and saved the country from an unstable situation by expediting the process of forming an interim government. As a result, Bangladesh Army has once again been recognized as a symbol of trust by the people of the country, he said in his valuable speech.

Earlier, Chief Adviser was welcomed by Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC on arrival at the venue; Special Assistant to the Principal Adviser on Defense and Development of National Integration, Chief of General Staff and Principal Staff Officer of the Department of Armed Forces.

The army chief expressed his gratitude and thanks to the chief adviser for attending and inaugurating the election board despite his busy schedule. The defense secretary was present along with the senior officers of the army in the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters election board.

At the end of the ceremony, the Chief Adviser participated in a photo session with the army officers present and recorded comments in the inspection book.
