The Directorate of Health has published the draft list of 735 people killed during the mass movement of students in July and August.

Based on the information received from various public and private hospitals, the preliminary list of the deceased has been published on the website of the department, the authorities said.

If any information in the list is incomplete or incorrect, the government has urged the relatives of the victims to contact the authorities to correct it.

Besides, if the names of any of the victims are not included in the list, their legal heirs or representatives have been advised to contact their district civil surgeon or upazila health and family planning officer.

It should be noted that there is confusion regarding the number of people killed during the mass movement in July and August. As a result, the government has taken the initiative of making a list to find out the actual number of victims.

The list shows the information of 735 victims so far.

However, the Central Sub-Committee on Health of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Platform claimed that around 1581 people died in the movement.

They also said that more than 31 thousand people were injured.

However, the information of the injured and the dead will be further verified, the Central Sub-Committee on Health of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Platform told reporters.
