Information advisor. Nahid Islam said that not only Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, but many others have made important contributions in the Great War of Liberation in 1971. As an example, Awami League has denied the contribution of Maulana Bhasani.
He said this in a briefing at the secretariat on Wednesday (16 October).
Nahid said that the days which are not important and only the party day of Awami League have been cancelled. Discussions are going on whether August 5 will be added as a new day in the spirit of mass coup.
Mentioning that Awami League has ruined Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s reputation, the advisor added that the speech of March 7 is important. But it cannot be a national day. He also commented that the people of the country do not consider Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the father of the nation.
