4 more people died in last 24 hours due to dengue fever. Meanwhile, 1,129 new dengue patients have been identified. The death toll has increased to 268 and the number of confirmed cases has increased to 54,225.
This information was informed in the regular notification about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Thursday evening.
According to the Directorate of Health, out of the four people who died in the last 24 hours, three were in Dhaka Division and one in Barisal Division.
According to the circular, 243 people have been admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka North City Corporation and 156 people have been admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka South City Corporation. Apart from this (excluding City Corporation), 197 people have been admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka Division, 143 in Chittagong Division, 132 in Khulna Division, 25 in Mymensingh Division, 88 in Barisal Division, 19 in Rangpur, 21 in Rajshahi Division and 5 in Sylhet Division.
Meanwhile, 1023 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital in the last one day. 50 thousand 124 people got clearance this year.
According to the Department of Health, a total of 54,224 patients have been admitted to the hospital since January this year. 268 people have died of dengue so far this year. Last year, 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. 1 thousand 705 people died.
