Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has urged the youth to calm down and dream to bring a positive change in the country.
While addressing the members of the NDC and FWC courses at his office in Tejgaon on Sunday, he added, “I especially encourage the youth to calm down, think and dream. Dreams are the beginning of change. If you dream, change will happen. If you don’t dream, it will never happen.” Khabar BSS
Pointing to the youth, Professor Yunus said, “Ask yourself what can I do for the world? Once you understand what you want to do, you can do it, because you have that power.”
He said, “The young generation of the world is now the most powerful generation in the entire history of humanity. Not because they are smart enough but because they have a lot of technology in their hands.’
Referring technology to Aladdin’s lamp, the Chief Advisor said, ‘If you look at the student revolution, it is a matter of technology. They could communicate with each other very quickly. They had no command structure.’
Regarding the student-led revolution, he said, the youth of the country want to see a new Bangladesh.
He said, the youth are not politicians and they are not trying to achieve any political success. But they want a new country for themselves.
Referring to world peace, the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize laureate said, Most of the time, people kill each other in the name of peace.
He said, ‘…but we commit ourselves every day, in all our utterances and in all our philosophies. We want peace. Peace within the country, peace among all countries and peace worldwide.’
In his speech, Chief Advisor Professor Yunus greeted the members of the NDC and AFWC courses and wished them success.
