58 more Sub-Inspectors (SIs) who were recommended for final appointment and were undergoing training at the Sharda Police Academy in Rajshahi have been dismissed due to disciplinary violations. Police AIG Media Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed this information on Monday (November 4).
In this regard, he said, 58 SIs undergoing training in the 40th cadet batch have been dismissed for disciplinary violations, not for political reasons. When asked when the order of dismissal was made, he said, ‘I am saying today, I mean it happened today.’
Earlier, the government had dismissed 252 SIs. A total of 310 people have been dismissed. On October 22, the Home Affairs Advisor to the interim government, Lieutenant General (retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that 252 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) undergoing training at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sharda, Rajshahi, have been dismissed for disciplinary violations. These SIs were recently given show cause notices for being disruptive in class.
According to the Police Academy, a total of 804 outsider cadets of the 40th batch were undergoing training. The training of these cadet SIs began on November 11, 2023. The training was supposed to end on November 4.
