Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has strongly condemned the barbaric Israeli aggression in the besieged Palestinian territories of Gaza and Lebanon and called for an immediate end to their military aggression.
He made the call at the opening ceremony of the Arab and Muslim leaders’ summit in Riyadh on Monday, according to Arab News.
In his speech at the opening of the joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Crown Prince (MBS) stated that a “genocide” is being committed against the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
He called on Israel to refrain from aggression and called on various countries of the world to recognize the state of Palestine.
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit also condemned Israel’s military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, echoing MBS’s sentiments, saying that the plight of the Palestinian people is beyond words.
He said that Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people are damaging efforts to achieve lasting peace. Only through justice will we be able to establish lasting peace.
Incidentally, Israel launched an operation in Gaza on October 7 last year. Which is still ongoing. More than 43,600 people have died in Gaza so far.
