Citizens’ Unity President Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, we are going to face a big crisis day by day. With so many hopes and aspirations, Dr. Muhammad Yunus was called from abroad and given responsibility with a reception. But he could not even arrange for the treatment of the injured.
Everyone says Dr. Muhammad Yunus is a great performer. But he also said that even in 100 days of taking power, he could not instill much hope among the people.
He made these comments at a meeting organized by the ‘Save the country, save the people’ movement at the Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of the National Press Club on Thursday (November 14) to protest the appointment of Awami beneficiaries as advisors and the rehabilitation of fascist accomplices by the interim government.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, the main task of this government is to arrange an acceptable election for democracy. Try to hold elections as soon as possible. Reforms are said, whatever you say; this interim government does not have the right to impose. You will make scammers advisors, give scammers big officer positions, that will not work.
He said, Dr. Yunus is in power, our economy is getting back on track a little. No one trusted the previous government. No one would give money from abroad. Even if they did, they would not give it to the bank. They would steal it, so the reserves would not be affected. Our bank is doing better than before. However, the prices of things do not decrease. The suffering and misery of the people remain.
The meeting was chaired by the president of the Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolon, KM Rakibul Islam Ripon, and the acting general secretary of the organization, Raju Ahmed, conducted the meeting. Abdus Salam, a member of the advisory council of the BNP chairman, and Subrata Chowdhury of Gono Forum, and many others were present at the meeting.
