Everyone must be ready to face the difficult challenges of the 21st century, said Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman.
Yesterday, Tuesday (November 19), Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC, visited the 7th Infantry Division and Barisal Area. During the visit, the Army Chief received a ‘Darbar’ for all ranks of army personnel working in the 7th Infantry Division and Barisal Area and an ‘Officers’ Address’ for army officers.
At the time, he mentioned that the situation is improving as the Bangladesh Army is sincerely fulfilling its assigned responsibility to improve the law and order situation in the country. He instructed all army personnel to continue to cooperate with the civilian administration and the people of the country with patience and professionalism, considering the overall situation of the country.
He expressed hope that every army member, as a symbol of the people’s trust, will exercise the magisterial power given by the state judiciously and perform his duty with utmost devotion to maintain peace and order in the country.
At the same time, he asked everyone to be ready to face the difficult challenges of the 21st century through modern and up-to-date training. In addition, the Army Chief inspected and monitored the progress of various projects underway in the 7th Infantry Division for the infrastructural development of the newly built cantonment.
During the inspection, in addition to senior military officers from the Army Headquarters and Barisal Area, junior commissioned officers, soldiers of other ranks, civilian officers and employees were present.
