10 more people have died of dengue in the country in the previous 24 hours till 8 am on Saturday. During this time, 886 people have been admitted to the hospital after contracting the virus. This information was given in a press release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday.

It said that among the newly admitted patients, 144 are in Barisal division, 69 in Chittagong division, 121 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 206 in Dhaka North City, 167 in Dhaka South City, and 107 in Khulna division. In addition, 40 new patients have been admitted in Rajshahi division, 27 in Mymensingh division, 4 in Rangpur division, and 1 in Sylhet division.

Meanwhile, 938 dengue patients across the country have been discharged from hospitals in the past one day. This year, 81,456 people have been discharged.

The Directorate General of Health Services said that 85,712 patients have been admitted to the hospital since January this year. So far this year, 448 people have died from dengue. Last year, 321,179 people were admitted to hospitals due to dengue. 1,705 people died. This year, the highest number of 30,879 patients were admitted in October, with 135 deaths.
