The first commission meeting of the new Election Commission (EC) will be held today Monday (December 2). AMM Nasir Uddin and four other commissioners will take charge of the EC as the 14th Election Commission.

It is learned that the first commission meeting of the 14th Election Commission will be held at 11 am today Monday in the CEC meeting room at the Agargaon Election Commission Secretariat. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will preside over the meeting. Four election commissioners, EC secretary, additional secretary and senior officials of the Election Commission will be present in the meeting.

The issues to be discussed in the meeting – Formation of four separate committees led by four election commissioners to carry out various activities of the commission as per the provisions of Rule 3 (2) of the Election Commission (Procedure) Rules, 2010. Formulation of voter list update program. Informing the commission about the objections received regarding the delimitation of the National Assembly and miscellaneous.

Earlier, former secretary AMM Nasir Uddin was appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner.
