He kept giving bad advice to the victim family, saying that if they did not sell the house, they would not be saved from the robbers. The family agreed in good faith. They sold all the ancillary properties as per his words. By a cruel twist of fate, he took all the money from the land sale into his own custody, telling them that he would buy land elsewhere. He would even pretend to have bought land in the names of Mahamaya’s father-in-law and husband in various places including Dolipara, Alamdina and Nipaban. When asked for any papers or documents, he would say that he would provide them after completing the registration and survey. In addition to that money, he immediately took a check from Ranjit Kumar’s personal account and withdrew another 11,37,768/(eleven lakhs seven hundred and sixty-eight) taka. In the same way, he sold some more lands and embezzled 15,00,000/(fifteen lakh) taka by saying that he would send Mahamaya’s son to Italy. In this way, the fraudster Bangi Mohanty withdrew money from Ranjit Kumar’s personal account and filled his pockets. Finally, to protect himself, he presented the documents of 2.38 acres of land in Manikpur/Mirzapur area of ​​​​Sunamganj district, his father-in-law’s house. It also shows that a person named Manoranjan Nath has been cultivating that land on a share basis. Even when he goes to ask for the grown paddy, he faces obstacles and dangers. On May 30, 2014, Bangi Mohanty attacked him while bringing paddy. Later, when the victim’s family filed a written complaint with Shahparan (RA) police station, the police did not take a case at that time. When they were forced to file a case in the Sylhet court, the police station took note of the matter and considered it as a complaint. Now, a series of conspiratorial attacks, cases and tortures against that family began. They were kept in one room for several years. In a few days, the burden of 4-5 cases fell on Mahamaya’s family. After a long court battle, all the cases were decided in favor of the victim’s family, but now they are destitute. Although he was sentenced to a fine in the case of the victims.

Meanwhile, it was found that he had tried to destitute another family like the above family in the same way. Babli Rani Nath of Dolia village of Airport police station sought redress and Ratan Moni Mohant was named as an accused in that police station, mentioning the names of 25 people and 40/50 more people were made accused. Whose case is No. 3/119. Crimes under 143/447/448/323/324/325/326/307/354/379/380/427/364 IPC were brought against them. In that FIR, Badini mentioned that the defendants created fake documents to embezzle ancestral property and attacked the spot to forcibly occupy the land.

On the other hand, it is also known that the amount of embezzled government revenue from twenty (20) documents included in the depreciation case has reached 89,64,048/(ninety-nine lakh forty-eight thousand taka and sixty-one paisa). All these depreciation cases are currently pending in the court. In addition, the relevant sources have confirmed that he is banned from leaving the country in two cases of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Recently, the alleged gangster, on the orders of Mohanty, has been trying to establish a reign of terror in the area by kidnapping a journalist and torturing him. A concerned source confirmed that he has collected more manpower to keep himself in the eyes of the administration and has submitted an application to the Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner after collecting their tips. The source further confirmed that the investigating officer of the complaint made by the journalist is SI Bidyut. Earlier, while working at the Airport Police Station, he had become a puppet of Ratan Moni Mohant and given him shelter.

When Ratan Moni Mohant was contacted on his mobile phone to inquire about this, he said that these are completely fake and false cases. He cut off the mobile phone connection saying that he would come to visit us once at home. On the other hand, Mahamaya’s son Ratan told the reporter on his mobile phone that the fraudster has ruined our entire family. Currently, we have received the verdict in the embezzlement case.
