23 newly appointed judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court paid a courtesy call on President Md. Shahabuddin. They paid a courtesy call on them at Bangabhaban on Thursday.
Congratulating the judges during the meeting, the President said that the appointment of new judges will further expedite judicial proceedings in the country’s higher courts and the litigants will benefit.
At the time, the President expressed hope that the judges will be able to dispose of cases quickly by utilizing their skills and talents.
Secretaries of the President’s Office were present during the meeting.
