India’s West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, Bangladesh has an internal problem with India. You should sit down and see for yourself. There are many forums to fulfill the international. But it is not right to stop the negotiations. The two countries should talk to each other. I think the unrest should be overcome and a situation of relief should be reached.

She said these things in an interview given to Indian media News18.

Mamata Banerjee said, ‘Earlier, for all of us to know, if any incident happened during the Parliament, even the Prime Minister would go abroad, he would come and give a statement in the Parliament. I did not see that the Parliament has been going on for so long, to give a statement on this. It should have been. Tell the details, then we could have known.’

She said, ‘Why did I talk about peacekeeping? I am saying this because whenever there is any unrest or peace is disturbed in a country, the United Nations has its own peacekeeping force. The force that has people from different countries around the world is called the Peacekeeping Force. When there was trouble in Sri Lanka too, there was a Peacekeeping Force. So if the relationship with India has deteriorated a lot, then India can tell the UN to send your Peacekeeping Force. At least let them see that people get security. Because, you have to remember this – if someone thinks that all Bangladeshis mean Upper Bengal, it is not so.’

He also said, ‘In United India, there was only one India. Pakistan, Bangladesh, India was only one. After the partition, Bangladesh became a separate country. Pakistan became a separate country. India became a separate country. But you know, he has many fathers. He has remarried there. His mother is here. There are many sons. There are sons there. Here there are daughters who are married. These are a big problem. Starting from sports to cultural exchange, everything, but remember, since the language of Bangladesh is one, our language is one, the culture is one and there are many businessmen there. Those who do business from one side of Bengal to the other.’

Mamata said, ‘Of course it is a geographical boundary. But our hearts have no boundaries. Our minds are completely open and open. We all love everyone very much. So, whatever our political views are, whatever political revenge, whatever revenge we have against, at least Bangladesh should be good. India should be good too. Nepal should be good too. So Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; Even next to Bangladesh, Myanmar-India Bengal is the gateway of North Eastern Region and Gateway of South East Asia and Bengal is the border of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha.’

The Chief Minister of West Bengal said, ‘If someone from Bangladesh comes here today and starts a fire, then the fire will not be left out of Bihar either. The reason for that is that since we are interconnected, our border is the same for all. I do not want that to happen.’
