Rangpur Correspondent //

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has instructed leaders and activists not to do any kind of work that goes against the people’s expectations. The people are the source of BNP’s power. Leaders and activists should refrain from doing things that can destroy people’s trust.

He said, the 31-point program is not just BNP’s program, it is for the welfare of the people of Bangladesh. It is the responsibility of all leaders and activists to spread the 31-point program to the districts, upazilas, police stations, union wards and remote areas of villages to instill the 31-point program among the people of the country. BNP’s responsibility in this regard as the country’s largest political party is much greater. Leaders and activists must earn the people’s trust and confidence as political capital.

Tarique Rahman said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the day-long departmental training workshop on the implementation of the 31-point program on state structure reform at the Rangpur Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on Sunday.

He said that the country’s goal is to overthrow the dictatorial government with the collective efforts of crores of people. In the same way, he urged the people of the country to rebuild the country this time in the light of the 31-point plan in a joint effort. Tarique Rahman said that an all-party government should be formed with the participation of those who want to work for the country.

He also said that in the coming days, he urged the leaders and activists to work unitedly by gaining the trust of the people to form the government through BNP. He urged them to be vigilant so as not to hurt the trust of the people. At the same time, he also warned that if they fail to gain trust, the people will throw them out. He said that they should take to the field with the 31-point plan to build the country and gain the trust of the people.

Addressing the leaders and activists, he said that the autocratic Awami League government, which had been in power for 15 years, has been ousted from the people today. Therefore, in the coming days, the people must be united with maximum strength. It must be remembered that the only capital of a political party is the trust, belief and love of the people.

The workshop was chaired by BNP National Executive Committee Organizing Secretary (Rangpur Division) and former Deputy Minister Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, and was moderated by BNP Media Cell Convener Dr. Moudud Alamgir Pavel.

Speakers included BNP Joint Secretary General Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Rural Development Affairs Secretary Farhad Hossain Azad, International Affairs Subcommittee member and music artist Baby Nazneen, BNP Human Rights Committee member Farzana Sharmin Putul, Media Cell members Mehera Akhter Bari, Farzana Sharmin, BNP Central Committee member Abdus Sattar Patwari, and others.
