East Timorese President Jose Ramos-Horta has arrived in Bangladesh on a four-day official visit. He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30 pm on Saturday, December 14, on a special Singapore Airlines flight.
At the airport, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus gave a warm welcome to the East Timorese President. He was given a red carpet welcome.
In addition, an announcement will be made about the opening of an honorary consulate of East Timor in Dhaka during the visit.
Foreign Ministry officials said that Jose Ramos-Horta will visit Bangladesh from December 14-17. During his visit, a visa exemption agreement will be signed for official and diplomatic passport holders.
