On the eve of Victory Day, Principal Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said on Sunday that the Victory Day to be celebrated on Monday is not only a source of our pride, but also a day of oath.

“This oath is to remain united, protect the sovereignty of the country and retain the spirit of the Liberation War,” he said in a message on the occasion of Victory Day.

Dr. Yunus paid tribute to the heroic martyrs of the Liberation War and remembered their sacrifice.

“We swear that we will build a developed, prosperous and well-governed Bangladesh with the cooperation of the interim government formed through the mass movement of students, workers and the people,” he said.

Dr. Yunus said that the government is determined to further develop and strengthen the country and enjoy the full benefits of independence. He commented that this day is very glorious and memorable in the history of Bangladesh.

Dr. Yunus said, on December 16, 1971, Bangladesh gained independence and self-identity as a nation through victory in the Liberation War. We have achieved the desired independence in exchange for the blood and sacrifice of millions of martyrs.
Finally, he wished everyone all the success of the Victory Day 2024.
