President Md. Sahabuddin said that the Supreme Court should take necessary steps under the leadership of the Chief Justice so that people get justice quickly.

He made this call during a courtesy meeting of five judges of the Appellate Division led by Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed with the President at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon.

Later, the President’s press secretary. Zainal Abedin said that the President congratulated the newly appointed Chief Justice and the new judges of the Appellate Division. At this time, he expressed hope that the Supreme Court will take necessary steps under the leadership of the Chief Justice to reduce the tangle of cases.

The other judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court are Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury, Justice Syed Mohammad Ziaul Karim, Justice Md. Rezaul Haque and Justice SM Emdadul Haque.

During the meeting, the Chief Justice briefed the President about the overall activities of the Supreme Court. He said that all the benches have been reorganized in both the divisions of the Supreme Court. In the meeting, Secretary of the President’s office Nasimul Gani and Military Secretary Major General Mohammad Adil Chowdhury and Press Secretary Md. Zainal Abedin was present.
