Sunita Williams, who is in space, has seen the sunrise 16 times. The Indian-origin astronaut is on the International Space Station.
In a tweet on social media X on Tuesday, the International Space Station authorities said that 72 astronauts including Sunita will get the opportunity to see this sunrise and sunset in 2024.
Sunita left for the space station with Barry Wilmore on the Boeing Starliner spacecraft last June. Although she was supposed to return in 9 days, she has to stay there even during Christmas.
NASA said that Sunita and Barry Wilmore will probably be brought back to Earth next March. Source: NDTV
