Remembering the outstanding contribution of young cricketer Iqbal Hossain Emon from Moulvibazar district, who won the Youth Asia Cup, Tareq Rahman, acting chairman of BNP and main sponsor of ‘Amra BNP Paribas’, has stood by his indigent family.
A press release from BNP’s media cell on Thursday said that two electronic auto-rickshaws were handed over to Emon’s father Md. Bakar Mia as a gift from Tareq Rahman through a simple ceremony organized by ‘Amra BNP Paribas’ in the area adjacent to ‘Ityadi Complex’ in Humayun Rashid Chattar, Sylhet. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and ‘Amra BNP Paribas’ Chief Advisor Ruhul Kabir Rizvi delivered the two electronic auto-rickshaws to Emon’s father Md. Bakar Mia as a gift.
‘Amra BNP Paribas’ convener and BNP Media Cell member Atiqur Rahman Rumon presided over the ceremony. BNP National Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, Advisor to the Chairperson Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Organizing Secretary of the National Executive Committee of BNP GK Gaus, BNP’s Joint Secretary for Science and Technology Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Co-Organizing Secretaries of the National Executive Committee Kalim Uddin Milon and Miftah Siddiqui, National Executive Committee members Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, former President of Moulvibazar District BNP M Naser Rahman, Acting President of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Rezaul Hasan Kayes Lodi and many others were present.
Sylhet District BNP General Secretary Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Joint General Secretary Emdad Hossain Chowdhury and Qatar BNP General Secretary and former Advisor of Moulvibazar District BNP Shariful Haque Saju jointly hosted the program.
It is worth noting that Iqbal Hossain Emon has gained nationwide fame due to his excellent performance in Youth Asia Cup cricket. He is the son of Bakar Mia, a daily wage laborer from Karimpur village in Moulvibazar district.
