Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles and Jute of the interim government, said, we have already canceled more than 4 million TCB cards. Both cancellation and addition are dynamic processes. We are in that process.

He said this in response to questions from journalists before a meeting with the Dinajpur District Administration, Sudhijan and TCB dealers on Thursday afternoon.

He said, we are traveling to different areas. I have been to Rajshahi, I have come to Dinajpur and I will also go to other districts. Our main objective is to plan to make TCB one-way. Efforts are underway to convert it into smart cards. The outgoing chairman of TCB and the newly joined chairman are here. The three of us have come together to understand the issues holistically.

In response to journalists’ questions about the launch of the rare land port, he said, whoever is in charge of the land port here can give the correct answer. I don’t know much about this.

Dinajpur Textile has been closed for a long time, in response to journalists’ questions about the steps taken to reopen it, he said, “I don’t know any information about this at the moment. I will let you know when I know.”

TCB’s newly appointed chairman Brigadier General Faisal Azad, outgoing chairman Brigadier General Mustafa Iqbal and others were present at the time.

Earlier, Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin visited the homes of Smart Family Card beneficiaries Zahidul Islam and Kanailal Roy of Ward No. 1 of Ramchandrapur Union No. 6 of Kaharol Upazila of Dinajpur and inquired about all the benefits of the TCB card.
