BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will leave for London tomorrow (January 7) night for advanced treatment. She will reach London via Qatar’s capital Doha in a ‘special air ambulance’ sent by the Emir of Qatar. From there, she will be taken directly to a London clinic in the UK. Khaleda Zia’s further treatment will continue as per the advice of the doctors there.
On Monday (January 6), BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain informed this at a press conference at her political office in Gulshan.
He said that an air ambulance will arrive at Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to carry Khaleda Zia at 7:30 pm today.
Khaleda Zia will be received at the London airport by her eldest son, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, his wife Dr. Zoaida Rahman, and two leaders of the London BNP.
Along with the doctors, Khaleda Zia will be accompanied by her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sinthi from Dhaka.
Dr. Zahid said that there is an old hospital called London Clinic, where Madam will be admitted and treated. Madam will be examined in this hospital. The next decision on Madam’s treatment will be taken on their advice.
Dr. Zahid also said that after the advice and review of the doctors at the London Clinic, it will be possible to tell what kind of treatment Khaleda Zia will undergo next.
He said that the countrymen have prayed for Khaleda Zia’s physical health at various times, for which he expressed his gratitude and gratitude to everyone. Madam has sought prayers from the countrymen so that she can return home safely after treatment. He is also praying for the countrymen.
When asked about Khaleda Zia’s liver transplant, Dr. Zahid said that due to Madam’s age and the fact that she is undergoing treatment, a decision will be made on this matter after going to the liver transplant unit, the London Clinic has this facility. So they will decide about Madam’s further treatment.
The hospital where Khaleda Zia is being taken in London is the oldest, most trusted and modern multi-disciplinary center. They have all kinds of arrangements there.
Dr. Zahid said that if the doctors at the London clinic recommend Khaleda Zia’s treatment in America or if there is no treatment at Johns Hopkins University Hospital that Madam needs, then the matter will come up.
