BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will return home once all the cases filed against him are over, said the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
He made this statement as the chief guest at the book cover unveiling ceremony of ‘Rajbandir Jabanbandi’ at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office on Thursday.
Requesting political workers at all levels not to create division, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘Some people have become reckless. They will divide the country and the people. They are saying various things, making various incitements. Please do not get involved in this.’
The BNP Secretary General said to the media, ‘The media also wants to highlight negative things.’ He urged them to highlight positive things.
At this time, prominent journalist Shafiq Rehman spoke as the main discussant under the chairmanship of Ismail Zabiullah, advisor to the Chairperson, and moderated by Shahidul Islam Babul, general secretary of the Krishak Dal.
