West Bengal Minister Shobhan Deb Chatterjee has alleged that the current government of Bangladesh is trying to start a war in a planned manner.
The Trinamool worker leader and minister made this allegation at a memorial service of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation on Saturday (January 11). Asia Net reports.
He also said that Bangladesh is not allowing India to build a barbed wire fence on the border.
The Trinamool leader claims that the Yunus government itself is not in a very good place. They are losing the trust of the people of their country.
He said, what will happen to them if we build a barbed wire fence on our border? We are not doing anything by going to their land. They are repeatedly blocking work.
Shobhan Deb Chatterjee said, I think some countries are behind the recent incidents in Bangladesh. In this situation, the Indian government should take more positive steps.
Incidentally, according to the law, no bordering country can build a fence or any structure on its border except for cultivating crops within 150 yards of the zero line of the border. But BSF members tried to build structures on the border in violation of international law.
Earlier, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) tried to build a barbed wire fence along the zero line at the Munshipara border in Dahagram Union of Patgram Upazila of Lalmonirhat. Upon receiving the news, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members protested against the construction of the fence in violation of the border law, and the BSF stopped the work.
