Former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment in London, has inquired about the health of her countrymen from BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal president Afroza Abbas.
On Saturday (January 11) evening local time, when they went to The London Clinic in West London to see Khaleda Zia, Khaleda Zia asked them about the health of her countrymen. Later, the Abbas couple came out of the clinic and informed the media about the news.
Mirza Abbas said that Khaleda Zia has not received any treatment for the past 17 years. During the Awami League government, she became very ill at one point. At that time, Sheikh Hasina used to speak very bad words about Khaleda Zia. However, she is fine now. Her tests are going on. I hope she will recover completely very soon.
He said, Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment under the best doctors in the world. Her mental condition has always been good, she is still good. She is very strong. We did not talk to her about politics. We only asked about her health. However, she asked us – how are the people of the country? What is the current situation of the country? Apart from that, we did not want to embarrass her by talking about politics. Because she is now physically ill, she is undergoing treatment.
When asked whether she has received any political instructions after meeting Tarique Rahman after a long time, this BNP leader said, I have the opportunity to talk to him officially at least once a week. We get instructions from there. However, right now, we have not received any political instructions.
Afroza Abbas said, he asked me how are my grandchildren? What is the current situation of the country? How is everyone in the women’s party? How are the people of the country, he asked all these. We hope that he will return home soon after recovering.
Also present at the event were UK BNP President and Chairperson’s Advisor MA Malek and General Secretary Koychar M Ahmed, among others.
Incidentally, Mirza and Afroza Abbas arrived in London last Friday.
Expressed their opinions.
