India bought fascist Sheikh Hasina first: Rizvi

Dhaka //

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that India bought fascist Sheikh Hasina first.

He made this allegation while highlighting the misdeeds of Indians on the border at a prayer meeting in Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday morning.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “The way Sheikh Hasina gave India the facilities from 2010 to 2023, Assam has done the things that can be done on the basis of talks between two independent countries; instead of doing that, it has forcibly put up barbed wire fences. We tell you – Sheikh Hasina has weakened our sovereignty by putting up barbed wire fences in 160 places just because she gave them facilities.”

This senior leader of the BNP said, our border is 4,600 kilometers long. Of that, more than 3,000 kilometers have been covered with barbed wire fences. There are 856 to 857 kilometers of barbed wire fence left. They are not following the international rules and regulations, agreements and discussions between the two countries. No development plan will be made within 150 yards of the zero line. Even if they are going to do it, there will have to be discussions between the two countries. They have tried to put up barbed wire fences in various places including Larmonirhat without following that.

Rizvi said that Sheikh Hasina did not allow the people to stand up to the resistance of the Bangladeshi border guards for this during the Awami League period. She (Sheikh Hasina) has worked as a servant of India with her fascism, her ruthlessness and her brutality.

He said that she also told her own party members that many of my party members can be bought but Sheikh Hasina cannot be bought. Hey, you can be bought first… India bought you first… Because of buying, you trampled on the independence, sovereignty and glory of your own country and gave India the opportunity to do unequal work.

This prayer mahfil was organized at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan by the Nationalist Rickshaw-Van-Autorickshaw Drivers’ Workers’ Party to pray for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Rizvi also recalled the role and sacrifice of rickshaw-van-autorickshaw drivers in the August 5 student-people’s revolution and the heroism of being injured, and reiterated the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman’s pledge to stand by them.

BNP Chairperson’s Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Mahbubur Rahman Samun, Abdus Sattar Patwari and other workers spoke at the prayer mahfil under the chairmanship of Alamgir Hossain Montu.
