The Chief Advisor to the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, said, unity is the creation of the interim government, unity is the strength of the government. The July Declaration will not be published without a unified decision. I want to do it based on everyone’s opinion. So that no one can say, you are so-and-so, you are so-and-so.
He said these things at an all-party meeting on the July Uprising Declaration at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday (January 16) afternoon.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, August 5 was a symbol of unity. The whole feeling on that day was unity. So now I want to do something based on everyone’s opinion. So that no one can say – you are so-and-so, you are so-and-so. Therefore, the July Declaration must be published with a unified decision.
Addressing the political leaders, he said, it feels great to meet you and sit with you. I feel brave. The interim government was born in unity. When you work alone, you feel alone. Then you feel weak. And when we all do it together, courage is instilled in our minds. I understand that we are united.
The chief advisor said, one day the students came and said that they would give a declaration. I asked what declaration they were giving, they said. Later, after understanding, I said, this will not happen. If you want to go back to August 5, you have to recreate what happened in the context of that day. You cannot do it alone. The whole feeling of that day was unity. No one said you are so-and-so, you are that. So if you want to do it, you have to do it with everyone.
The head of the interim government said, that is why this conversation has started. Now the discussion will be centered on this. If we cannot do it unitedly, the purpose will be hindered. There is no need. If we do it through unity, everyone will think that we are awake. We have not become dull. We are still strong. We are united as a nation.
