Iran will participate in the international naval exercise that is going to be held at the invitation of Pakistan next month.
Iranian Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Baqeri made this announcement while visiting Pakistan on Monday.
Iranian media outlet Press TV reported that the exercise, named Aman or Peace-25, will be held in the sea area adjacent to Pakistan’s Karachi port from February 7 to 11.
General Baqeri said that Iran has been invited to this naval exercise to be held in Pakistan and we will join it.
Members of the naval wing of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will actively participate in this exercise. Due to this, this naval exercise is gaining special importance in the international arena.
Earlier, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces General Mohammad Baqeri met with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir in the capital Islamabad. He visited Pakistan with a high-level Iranian military delegation.
