Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Water Resources Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that our joint efforts are essential to protect the environment and reduce plastic pollution. Wide participation of youth is essential to make the anti-polythene activities successful. It is the demand of the hour to ensure a sustainable environment by stopping the use of polythene and polypropylene bags.
She said this while speaking as the chief guest at the ceremony to award certificates to volunteers for the program to stop the use of polythene/polypropylene shopping bags and the cleanliness drive at Kuakata beach at the Department of Environment on Tuesday.

To protect nature, awareness must be raised at the personal and social levels. Everyone must come forward to motivate the people to use environmentally friendly products that are alternatives to polythene. We must commit to leaving a beautiful and clean environment for the next generation.
