The Prisons Department has transferred 12 deputy jailers from various prisons across the country, including Sylhet. The decision to transfer was announced in an office order signed by Additional Inspector General of Prisons Colonel Mohammad Mustafa Kamal on Thursday (January 22).
The office order stated that this order, issued in the public interest, will be implemented immediately. The transferred officers have been instructed to take up their new posts immediately.
The transferred deputy jailers are: Jannatul Ferdous from Dhaka Central Jail to Mymensingh Central Jail, Abu Yusuf from Dhaka Central Jail to Dinajpur District Jail, Md. Bilal Uddin was transferred from Mymensingh Central Jail to Brahmanbaria District Jail, Shahnaz Begum from Mymensingh Central Jail to Brahmanbaria District Jail, Tofail Ahmed Khan from Khagrachhari District Jail to Madaripur District Jail, Sajeeb Kumar Saha from Brahmanbaria District Jail to Gazipur District Jail, Md. Nasir Uddin from Brahmanbaria District Jail to Kashimpur Central Jail-2, Monir Hossain from Sylhet Central Jail to Dhaka Central Jail, Mosa. Motahara Khatun has been transferred from Rajshahi Central Jail to Dhaka Central Jail, Jannatul Rakiba from Bogra District Jail to Comilla Central Jail, Rokhsana Yasmin from Dinajpur District Jail to Bogra District Jail and Monirul Hasan from Pirojpur (Sylhet Headquarters on posting) Jail to Pirojpur District Jail (Sylhet Central Jail-2 on posting).
The list of transferred deputy jailers and details of their new places of work are included in the office order of the Prisons Department.
