No decision has been made on resignation from the government yet, said Nahid Islam, information advisor to the interim government. He said this in response to a question from journalists today (January 30).

The new interim government was formed on August 8 under the leadership of Professor Muhammad Yunus. And 3 people have been placed in the advisory council as student representatives.

A recent media report claimed that a new student political party is coming by February 15. Advisor Nahid Islam may take over the responsibility of secretary general. The report also claimed that Nahid Islam and Asif Mahmud are resigning from the advisory council to take a place in the new party.

When attention was drawn to this issue, advisor Nahid said, the report has come to my attention, I have also seen it on social media. The newspaper did not clarify from which source it did this. Such a decision (to resign) has not been made yet. If it happens, we will tell ourselves. If there is a situation where we have to participate in a political party, we will officially announce our decision to leave the government.
