Bishwa Ijtema’s final prayer tomorrow

The final prayer of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema held in Tongi, Gazipur will be held tomorrow, Sunday (February 2) between 9 am and 9.15 am.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dr. Nazmul Karim Khan informed reporters about this at the police control room at Ijtema Maidan around 10 am on Saturday (February 1).

He said that there is no opportunity to spread any confusion about the Ijtema. Law enforcement is on the highest alert. Extensive security measures have been taken to ensure that devotees participate in the prayer without any hindrance.

The Police Commissioner also said that all types of traffic going to the Ijtema will be controlled from 6 am before the final prayer. All vehicles going to the Ijtema will be closed at the 300 feet of Dhaka, at the Dhor Bridge and at the Bhogra Bypass intersection. Normal traffic on these roads will resume after the devotees of the Ijtema Maidan leave the ground.

He also said that so far there is no concern about security in the Ijtema. Along with the law enforcement agencies, the Ijtema authorities have appointed a large number of volunteers to ensure the overall security of the devotees. They are also monitoring the security arrangements.

Lakhs of religious devotees from home and abroad will participate in the final prayer of the World Ijtema. Especially thousands of people from the capital Dhaka and surrounding districts will rush to the Ijtema Maidan to participate in the prayer.
