One person killed in another incident in Oregon
Two teenagers were arrested in another incident in Oregon on the same day. They shot and killed a man during a robbery.
The incident occurred at the Fred Meyer grocery store in Portland. A 47-year-old woman named Jonathan Trent was shot while trying to stop an attempt to rob her purse.
Witness Wahneta Lagu, 73, said she saw Trent lying on the ground as she left the store with her husband. At that time, people around quickly came to his aid. However, no movement was observed on Trent’s seriously injured body.
Police said the incident occurred near Northeast 102nd Avenue at 3:50 p.m. local time. They rescued Trent and took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead there.
Trent was a well-known swimming coach. His death has left a huge void for his family and friends. A GoFundMe page has been opened in his memory, where funds are being collected to help his family. Source: Mehr News
