BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has called for discussion with political parties on every reform and decision-making that is people-friendly. He said that if BNP comes to power, free healthcare will be ensured on the model of the UK.
The recommendations of the BNP-formed health reform committee were presented on Tuesday (February 4). It proposed the appointment of rural health assistants, introduction of health cards, upgrading the Upazila Health Complex to 100 beds and increasing the export of medicines to $5 billion.
He alleged that the country’s health sector has collapsed due to corruption and irregularities, as a result of which patients are going abroad. He urged the government to discuss with all political parties and concerned parties and adopt sustainable reform proposals to improve the quality of treatment.
Expressed his opinion.
