Activists of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have vandalized murals and pictures of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in various places in Chittagong. After news of the vandalization of house number 32 in Dhanmondi and the pictures and murals of Bangabandhu there spread in the capital, students also took to the streets with torch processions in Chittagong. They vandalized murals of Bangabandhu in various places with processions from 10 pm to 12 am. They expressed their determination to erase the memory of Mujibism from Bangladesh during this time. Murals and pictures of Bangabandhu were vandalized in Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Jamal Khan area.

It is learned that the activists of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement became angry over the broadcast of Sheikh Hasina’s speech on the verified Facebook page of the banned Chhatra League, an affiliate of the Awami League, at 9 pm on Wednesday. A group of 30/40 activists first marched from Chawkbazar towards Chittagong Medical College Hospital. They demolished a portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the old academic building of Chittagong Medical College. Although there were no bulldozers, the stone-carved mural of Bangabandhu was demolished with hammers and bricks. Then the students took out a torch procession and vandalized the mural of Bangabandhu in front of the Chattogram Press Club in Jamal Khan in the city and in the area adjacent to Khastgir High School.

At that time, they told the media that Sheikh Hasina is making provocative statements from outside the country to destabilize the country. They are conspiring against the country. They will wipe out the memory of fascism and Mujibism from the country. The students and the public are ready to stop the conspiracy that the Awami League is conspiring to destroy Bangladesh in February itself. Their conspiracy will not be allowed to be implemented at all.
