Interim government will be questioned if elections are postponed

The Daily Morning Sun Online //

Not local, but national elections must be held first, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. He said that if elections are postponed, the interim government will be questioned.

He said these things at a round table meeting organized by the Institute of Architects on Saturday (February 15) morning.

Rizvi said, the terrible consequences of the free, fair and popular elections in the last 17 years were not supposed to happen. No one expected that BRAC would stumble again from the speed of the 90s movement. It is amazing that such an example has been set in the past 17 years, not just BRAC taking. For this reason, a new chapter has been added to political science, how the state power was used to elect a one-sided person and how voting was held during the day and night. Voters were prohibited from going to the polling stations by miking. We have seen four-legged animals walking in front of the polling stations. We have seen such elections in the last 16-17 years.

He said, not only that, those who received the nomination of the opposition party were also prevented from submitting their nominations. And this was given by the leaders and workers of the ruling party. Some could not even submit them. These incidents have happened during local elections and national elections.

The BNP leader also said, those who have state power in their hands to hold one-sided elections would create a precedent of terrible oppression and obstruction against the opponent. It cannot be said that it is over. Opposition leaders and workers were arrested and attacked on false charges.

Also present at the time were Ehsanul Haque Huda, Ithun Babu, Ahsan Uddin Khan Shipon and others.

Expressed their opinions.
